Taiwan-China Priority Claim to Come Into Effective as of November 22, 2010
Dear Sirs,
We are delighted to inform you that Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (the IPO) has announced on November 10, 2010 that the claiming of the priority right of patent, trademark, plant variety rights from the first-filed application in China will be accepted as of November 22, 2010 provided that the claimed priority application is filed on or after September 12, 2010 (the effective date of the Agreement). Namely, the applicant of Taiwanese application may take the advantage of the benefit of the priority right from the first-filed application in China since November 22, 2010 provided that the claimed priority date is on or after September 12, 2010.
