The Legislative Yuan Froze the Land Acquisition Fund of IP Court.　The Judicial Yuan Responded That The IP Court Will Begin Operating in 2007.

　The Judicial Yuan’s plan to establish the IP Court in Linkou may change. The Legislative Yuan reviewed the Judicial Yuan 2006 budget days ago and froze the land acquisition fund of 2 hundreds millions for IP Court in the reason that IP Court is supposed to be conveniently located in the town.

 

Will this budget freeze delay the scheduled operation of IP Court in March 2007? The Judicial Yuan indicated that the IP court will be operating as scheduled at a leased site temporarily.

 

The land acquisition budget for IP Court was already frozen in the 2^nd ruling and opposition party negotiation after the speaker of Taiwanese Legislative Yuan, Mr. Wang, Jing Pyng appeased many legislators’ strong call for deleting the budget.  In addition, the draft Organic Act of The Intellectual Property Court and the draft Law Governing Examination And Adjudication of Cases Filed in The Intellectual Property Court have not been passed in the Legislative Yuan.  (2006.01)
