ITRI develops environmental photo-catalysis technology

E021206Y5 Jan. 2003(E41)

The technology of decomposing air pollutants by catalysts is an emerging environmental technology. The Industrial Technology Research Institute (“ITRI”) and Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology signed an agreement titled “Cooperation on Development of Environmental Technologies” on Dec 5, 2002. Both parties will endeavor to research and develop photo-catalysis technology in the environmental field.

Since photo-catalysts were successfully developed in 1970, they have become new environmental materials with solid market potential because of their characteristics such as energy saving, non-pollution and high-degree environmental friendliness, etc.
