TFT industry forms an Advanced Technology Research & Development Consortium

With the support from the Department of Technology of the MOEA, Taiwan TFT LCD Association on December 26, 2001 formally established the Advanced Technology Research & Development Consortium, emphasizing the R&D on new technologies and coordination among related technical standards. 

However, as far as the domestic TFT manufacturers are concerned, there are two things of greatest importance nowadays.  One is how to quickly switch to the R&D on the next generation, and the other is how to avoid TFT patent actions to be launched by the Japanese and Korean markers after our TFT industry is more well-developed.
