The Patent Procedure Examination Standard is to Take Effect On the May 20th .

“The Patent Procedure Examination Standard” stipulated by the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs is to take effect from May 20. This is the first time that a procedure examination standard is made in accordance with the patent procedure examination. It is also a huge progress on the domestic patent examination system. Patent examination shall become more standardized and clarified that may prevent any lawless individuals from sliding through legal loopholes and protect the interests of right holders.
Although there has not yet been any procedure examination regulation in the Patent Law, the process of patent examination is without a doubt the combination of procedure, formality and substance examination. It is of great importance in the implementation and operation of the Patent Law. (2005.5)
