Ministry of Economic Affairs Proposed a Scheme to Finance Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises regarding Intellectual Property.

Ministry of Economic Affairs promoted a five-year “scheme for promoting small and medium-sized enterprises to finance intellectual property,” which assists small and medium-sized enterprises in using intellectual property for finance by three subsidiary schemes-“assistance and coordination,” “network platform for capital match,” and “financial institution training.”

 

Chinese Management Association is entrusted to execute the plan of “assistance and coordination,” providing services for diagnosing and assisting enterprises’ management of intellectual property right and current financial situation. Chinese Management Association acts as a communication bridge between companies and banks by means that experts conduct an assessment on techniques, intellectual property right, and market in accordance with enterprises’ financial needs.

 

Asia-Pacific Technology & Intellectual Property Services Inc. is entrusted to perform the plan of “network platform for capital match,” establishing relevant service system regarding network platform for capital match of intellectual property right and case selection. Asia-Pacific Technology & Intellectual Property Services Inc will assist enterprises in obtaining capital by potential intellectual property right through combining information of investment, finance, and technique.

 

The plan of “financial institution training” will strengthen financial institutions’ concept of finance of intellectual property right and their assessment ability. (2005.8)
