Discreetly delivered through Internet; Cross-Strait commercial spies sentenced. In the first Case in Taiwan

The internet and the technology of the telegraphic transfer, those business intelligence can easily steal high technology information and collect money remittance just by sitting at home, all business transactions are done in a virtual world. A stock company -- Acer Laboratories Inc. was one of the victims as ‘Chinese Business Intelligence’ stole its IC design chart. Among the three involved defendants, one of them was acquitted, other were sentenced to imprisonment for a year with a probation of 4 years and 1 1/2year imprisonment without having a probation respectively.

Acer Laboratories Inc. is specialized in producing high technology products such as integrated circuit. After learning the final judgment for the case, Acer Laboratories Inc. said that, in the past, they usually tried to settle outside the court, while this is the first case that business spy be charged, thus it is hoped that this as a chance to send out an alerting message to people in the same industry and call for more respect for the intellectual property right from all circles.
