Ministry of Economic Affairs amends Law Opposing the existing criteria for Dumping Duty Criteria Lowered

Facing an increasing amount of imported goods that may effect the development of domestic industry and at the same time cause damage to relevant industries, the Ministry of Economic Affairs agreed to extend the current criteria set for the Dumping Duty, by lowering the original approval restriction from 2/3rd’s of the attending members to half. This allowance may help to expedite its final approval. In addition to this, the Ministry of Economic Affairs also intends to set up a hearing procedure so as to provide both defendants and plaintiffs a chance to clarify themselves prior to the end of the meeting proceeded by Investigation Committee of Commerce.
