Large reward offered for report on piracy with highest amount of one million NT dollars

    The MPA is going to allocate US$150,000 as the incentive to the action against piracy.  Any one who assists law enforcers to uncover factories or criminal syndicates of pirated CDs may gain the large reward offered by the MPA.  In the meantime, the Ministry of Economic Affairs also announced to raise the reward presently available for the report on counterfeits from NT$1,000,000 to NT$10,000,000.  Once the cases reported by informants are convicted by judgment, the informants may have chance to gain the reward ranging from NT$1,000,000 to NT$10,000,000.  Additionally, in order to carry out the legislation as soon as possible and help to swipe piracy, the Copyright Law will be the priority in the bills of laws to be examined by the Legislative Yuan in the then session.
