Specialized court for financial cases is to be established in courthouse to speed up trial on financial crimes

   In order to cope with the demand from the various industries that the trial on grave financial crimes should be speeded up, the Judicial Yuan decided to adjust the organizations of certain district courts.  Following the precedent of “the specialized court for intellectual property cases”, the courthouses are scheduled to establish specialized courts responsible for financial cases.  In principle, the judge of the specialized court for financial cases must be proficient in the field of finance and will advance studying in the field of finance on an on-going basis.  The specialized court for financial cases will not handle criminal cases other than financial crime cases, so as to achieve the end to speed up the trial by virtue of professionalism and specialized court.
