Judicial Yuan passed the draft of “Standards for paying remunerations to lawyers handling administrative proceedings”

   The Judicial Yuan’s Committee studying the system of administrative proceeding recently passed the draft of “Standards for paying remunerations to lawyers handling administrative proceedings.”  In the future, the administrative court or the presiding judge shall render an award, after considering the complexity of cases, the outcome of proceedings, degree of lawyers’ diligence and the concerned parties’ agreement, on how much the losing party shall pay for the counter part’s lawyer fees. The losing party has to pay the winning party’s lawyer fees in an amount no less than NT$20,000 but no more than NT$500,000.
