Chinese Digital Contents Association found by industrial, governmental and academic fields to promote digital contents industry

The digital contents industry has entered into the growth stage. The “Chinese Digital Contents Association”, a combination from the industrial, governmental and academic fields, has officially come into being on June 28 with the aims to consolidate opinions from the trade and conduct exchange activities, to form consensus on issues on legislation, technology and industrial policy, and to construct and promote the industry as a whole--all for the ultimate aim to transform Taiwan into a key site in the Chinese world, or the whole world even.
To speed up bridging the digital divide, the government has drawn up a promotion plan for bridging digital divide to tie in with the 3-year, NT$300-billion budget for public welfare projects. Future efforts will be focused on reinforcing internet reception and access infrastructure, consolidating non-governmental resources, and upgrading small- and mid-sized enterprises’ ability for e-application and e-commerce.
