Banking systems recently formed an affiliation with HiTRUST.COM (HK) Incorporated Limited, TAIWAN.CA.COM Inc., and Government Certificate Authority (GCA) for the establishment of standards.  TAIWAN.CA.COM Inc. is expected to establish a Root CA, while HiTRUST.COM is to set up a User CA with major financial institutes in Taiwan to provide services to customers.

Bankers Assoc. of the ROC began a negotiation with the three companies as above-mentioned.  It is said that TAIWAN.CA.COM Inc. is expected to establish a Root CA using FXML standard for the banking systems so as to unify future certificate standards.  Following the establishment of Root CA, each company can also establish a certificate authority.  For example, HiTRUST.COM and some major banking systems will set up their own certificate authority based on FXML standard so as to share in the markets of enormous business prospects, such as the online banks, online lottery vendors and electronic commerce.  The industry estimate that under inter-operatable certificate infrastructure, e-commerce will outreach 10 trillion dollars for the first year.
