III and Fujitsu formed strategic alliance

The Institute for Information Industry (III) and Fujitsu, Japan are to enter into a "Strategic Alliance and Technology Collaboration Memorandum" on the 10th. III's embedded system lab will be researching and developing applications and embedded software with Fujitsu's semiconductor & chip section. Fujitsu is also likely to set up a large-scale R&D center in Taiwan in the future. According to the III, this collaboration means a great deal to it. Fujitsu, Japan will provide the hardware and platform, while III will be responsible for the software R&D. Both sides are to jointly research and development applications/embedded software on chips made by Fujitsu. According to the Memorandum signed, the resulted R&D achievements and patent technologies will be jointly held by the III and Fujitsu, Japan.
