In order to connect IT electronics makers worldwide and to link up the upstream & downstream supply chain, 10 computer makers, namely BenQ, Tatung, Yageo, D-Link, AU Optronics, World Peace Industrial Co., Ltd., LiteOn Technology, LiteOn-IT, Accton Technologies and Elitegroup Computer Systems, will join hands to roll out a project called "星動計劃", which is expected to be the e-hub linking more than 500 IT makers in year 2004 and become the largest-ever e-business project in the history of Taiwan.

The goal of this project is to enable Taiwan to become the logistics center for global IT industries.  The project is based on viaHub platform developed by the Electronic Commerce Resources Center, Institute for Information Industry, with a view to e-connect global trading partners, link up the upstream & downstream supply chain, and ultimately integrate effectively the information communicating processes, monetary processes, as well as the physical movement of cargo incurred during B2B e-commerce.  It's expected to reach an annual transaction amount of more than NT$200 billion, and may even become the world's largest IT & electronics on-line community.
