Industrial Development Bureau’s TIPS Works To Diminish IP Management Costs and Accelerate Order Processing.

With full support and assistance from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and other related authorities, the enterprises equipped with the “Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System” (TIPS) benefit from the practice of TIPS that cuts down IP management costs and unexpectedly accelerates the processing of orders from abroad.

Developed by the Science & Technology Law Center of the Institute for Information Industry as an IP management system, TIPS contributes to the formulation of IP management regulations to be exercised in small and medium-sized businesses as the TIPO and the Industrial Development Bureau have been joining hands to work out.  In 2005, eight businesses were selected by the Industrial Development Bureau to use the TIPS as demonstration, and the prominent efficiency of which has caused a surge in enterprises’ applications for using TIPS.  (2006.11)
