Establishment of Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Rights Protection Association.

　Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Rights Protection Association (IPR Association) was established yesterday (April 3).  IPR Association is a non-profit organization, in which Taiwan and Japan will be cooperating at the initial stage for promoting the protection of Intellectual Property works’ interests and rights.

　The nominal president of the IPR Association, Hsu Shui-The, also indicated that the establishment of the IPR Association can on the one hand strengthen the relationship between Taiwan and Japan and on the other hand promote the importance of protection of intellectual property rights to China and other countries in the Asia Pacific Area, and also to recruit member states to work cooperatively.  Japan will be forming a consultant group by cooperating with Taiwan to protect the IP rights, and this act will increase the Taiwan country image.  (2008.04)
