Request for Filing a Report and Trademark Recordation Available Online

Online request with Taiwan Customs has been available since October 1, 2014 for filing a report against possible trademark and copyright infringement and for filing a request for trademark recordation and recordation renewal by uploading required information or documents to the online application system.  Requesters can also check status of application processing online. 

According to the Regulations Governing Customs Measures in Protecting the Rights and Interests of Trademark and the Operational Directions for Customs Authorities in Implementing Measures for Protecting the Rights and Interests of Patent, Trademark and Copyright, the proprietor of a registered trademark or the copyright holder may file a report with the Taiwan Customs Administration against possible infringement upon his/her trademark right or copyright by any specific or unspecific imported or exported goods or file a request for recordation and for renewal of existing trademark/copyright recordation by submitting required materials to the Customs Administration as a basis of IP right border enforcement.
