Research fellow, Dr. Patrick Ching-Ho Hsieh of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Academia Sinica, Dr. Steve R. Roffler, and their research team have successfully developed a drug capture system that navigates drugs and is reloadable.  The reloadable multi-drug capturing delivery system is able to deliver drugs, stem cells, or vascular growth factors precisely to injured tissues so as to facilitate cardiovascular regeneration of patients with cardiovascular diseases.  The operability of the new system will hopefully extend to patients with diabetes who have limb ischemia.  It is also expected to have application as a cancer treatment.

This study was published in the academic journal, Science Translational Medicine to be introduced to the world on November 16, 2016.  (November 2016)
