CHPT faces patent infringement suit by Technoprobe Court hands down interlocutory judgment

Chunghua Precision Test Tech. Co., Ltd. (CHPT) issued a material statement with respect to the patent infringement action initiated by Technoprobe S.P.A..
According to CHPT’s statement, Technoprobe initiated this civil action with the IPC Court, alleging that CHPT infringed upon its Taiwan patent no. I705249, titled “Semi-Finished Product Comprising a Plurality of Contact Probes for a Testing Head and Related Manufacturing Method” (hereinafter the “subject Patent”) and seeking damages of TWD31.65 million. After the trial proceedings for more than one year, the IPC Court made an interlocutory judgment on April 2, 2026, finding that CHPT’s certain semi-finished probe product used in an experiment at the time of evidence being preserved fell into the scope of claim 1 and claim 17 of the subject Patent. The court will continue the proceedings assessing the issue of damages amount. CHPT indicated that it will file an appeal seeking remedy upon entry of the final first-instance judgment.
