Elan Microelectronics sued Ilitek and NeoView over patent infringement

　The leading IC design giant, Elan Microelectronics Corp. (hereinafter “Elan”) announced on July 3, 2025 that it had filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Ilitek Corp. (“Ilitek”) and NeoView Technology Inc. (“NeoView”), alleging infringement by their touch controller IC products.  

　Elan stated that based on the assessment by its retained counsel, the capacitive touch-control ICs made and sold by Ilitek infringed upon Elan’s invention patent no. I425402, for which Elan has filed a civil lawsuit for patent infringement against Ilitek and NeoView with the Taiwan IPC Court.  

　In order to protect its patent rights and also prevent the alleged patent infringement from continuing, Elan sought not only injunctive relief requiring Ilitek and NeoView to cease the alleged patent infringement but also damages.  (Released 2025.07.04)
