Taiwan AI Robotics Alliance officially formed

　Taiwan AI Robotics Alliance was officially established on July 22, 2025, committed to integrating the resource of Taiwan’s AI and robot industries, promoting technology autonomy, industry upgrading and keeping pace with the international market.  The alliance also announced its four major objectives to achieve by 2030 and plans to attain TWD1 trillion in production output value.  

　The alliance brings together six leading associations, including Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry, Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, Taipei Computer Association, Cloud Computing & IoT Association in Taiwan, and Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association.  This initiative demonstrates the industry’s united determination to build a new era of AI-driven robotics.  

　Looking ahead to 2030, the alliance has four major objectives.  First, it aims to develop five domestically produced robotic models across four platforms, including autonomous mobile vehicles, foot-shaped robots, humanoid robots and robots for special applications to support a broad range of use cases.  Second, it seeks to establish four core systems—decision making, drive control, sensing, and power systems—to localize key components and build a self-reliant Made in Taiwan supply chain.  Third, the alliance intends to introduce robotics products to eight key application sectors, including healthcare, logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, caregiving, restaurants and food service, disaster response and patrolling.  Finally, it targets boosting Taiwan’s AI robotics industry to generate more than TWD1 trillion in output value by 2030, leveraging parallel localization and internationalization strategies to enhance product value and expand both export opportunities and domestic market demand.  
　　
　The alliance urges the government to support the commercialization and deployment of robotics applications and the refinement of the regulatory framework so as to achieve homegrown technology and Taiwan’s position in the global robotics value chain.  (Released 2025.07.22)
